I’m not a professional reviewer but I would like to share my thoughts on Adam Lambert’s concert last Sunday at Hard Rock Live in Hollywood Florida. All my friends online and offline know very well that I’ve been an Adam fan since his run on American Idol. I saw the show last year because of him. I bought his album and I found it really good despite the fact that it was done in three months only. I’ve been supporting him 24/7 since I became a fan. That’s the reason why I wanted to go to one of his Glamnation tour concerts. I went there with high expectations and I’m glad he didn’t disappoint me. His voice is so ridiculously good, unreal and beautiful. Listening to him singing live is just a total different experience from the American Idol recordings and his album.
One of the highlights of the night for me was his cover of “Ring of Fire”. That Middle Eastern sound is one of the things that makes this version of the song so good. If I Had You was a surprise for me because that’s not one of my favorite songs on the album but it was the best part of the night. It was just pure fun, specially the part of the bus drivers dancing on stage with Adam and his dancers. Soaked and Sleepwalker were simply beautiful and again they just proved that Adam is the real deal for me. His voice filled the whole theater, every little corner of it. No lip singing, no auto tuning, just pure talent.
I couldn’t take my eyes of him, even though I was a little far away from the stage. I completely forgot about the dancers, the musicians and the visuals in the big screen. It was just the man and his out of his world voice what stood out for me. I would have preferred to listen to the original version of “Whataya Want From Me” or a slowed down acoustic version of it and maybe the show to be a little bit longer because at the end of it I wanted more.
I took my mom to the concert and she had a great time. She likes Adam but now I think she likes him a little bit more. She, like me, was impressed by his voice and how tall he is, lol. And that’s all folks.
Tomorrow I’m gonna see Adam freaking Lambert in concert. ^_^ ♥♥♥♥
